A Glimpse Into The Craft
Ramola reached out to us on 21 January 2026 and shared a range of inspirations for her wedding invitations. While the designs varied in style, a common thread ran through all of them—elegance.
This is the journey of how Makarandh and Ramola’s wedding invitations were crafted at Famous—
The Brief
We introduced Ramola to our Famous Classic Emboss floral design, which she immediately resonated with.
For the envelopes, Ramola envisioned a deep green colour. While gold foiling was initially considered, further discussions led to a more restrained approach to avoid an overly bold look. The final direction moved toward blind letterpress for the envelope addressing, paired with a minimal and timeless monogram of Makarandh and Ramola.
To further personalise the envelopes, Ramola requested a ribbon closure and a longer, stylised flap instead of a standard catalogue envelope. This led us to create a custom die specifically for this project.
The Paper
For the invitation cards, the WILD 450 was selected to support the emboss and foil stamping while maintaining a strong and substantial feel in hand.
For the envelopes, the Glasgow Green 120 was chosen to achieve the deep green tone Ramola had envisioned, while keeping the overall suite refined and balanced.
The Print
For the invitation cards, the Classic Emboss floral design was embossed, and the text was foil stamped in gold, striking a balance between sophistication and subtle luxury.
For the envelopes, the monogram of Makarandh and Ramola was embossed, paired with one letterpress print on the back for envelope addressing, where guest names could be written.
