The Crafting of Saesha & Rohan’s Wedding Invites

A Glimpse Into the Craft

Saesha, the bride, came to us with a clear idea of how she wanted her wedding invitations to feel—thoughtful, tactile, and refined. She had created the artwork herself and wanted a printing approach that would preserve both the color and detail of her designs.

Her vision required letterpress printing for most of the inserts, with one insert blending letterpress and digital techniques to maintain color richness while adding subtle tactile depth. From there, our focus was on choosing the right papers and methods to bring her artwork faithfully into print.

This is how the couple’s invitation suite took shape at Famous—

The Brief

Saesha first approached us on 4 January 2026 with her artwork and outlined her vision for a suite that balanced traditional charm with vibrant detail. The initial idea was for letterpress invitations on deckled edge cotton paper. After reviewing the artwork, we realized that the intricate details and color layers would reproduce more clearly on a smoother surface.

Together, we explored options that would honor her designs while keeping the tactile quality she wanted.

The Paper

We used the Monroe cotton paper for all inserts and seal stickers. Its smooth surface allowed the intricate artwork to remain sharp while still feeling soft and refined.

For the envelopes, we selected the Oslo Old Rose paper. Its muted, warm tone complemented the suite subtly, adding balance without taking attention from the printed elements.

The Print

The invitation suite was printed using a combination of letterpress and digital methods, chosen to suit each insert:

The Christian Ceremony invitation was printed entirely in letterpress, using three colours to bring depth and clarity to the artwork.

The Hindu Ceremony invitation combined digital printing with three letterpress colours, allowing the artwork to remain detailed while adding definition through print.

The Finer Details card was printed in letterpress using two colours, keeping the layout calm and easy to read.

The RSVP card was printed in letterpress using two colours and designed with a clear structure for response.

The seal stickers were also printed in letterpress using two colours, tying the set together.

Taken as a whole, the suite worked as one set—consistent in paper and print, with each piece serving its purpose clearly.
