A Glimpse Into The Craft
Naomi and Aying approached us to explore options for their wedding invitations. Over the course of two meetings, the direction took shape through discussion—considering formats, materials, and print techniques—until the final design became clear.
This is the journey of how Naomi and Aying’s wedding invites were crafted—
The Brief
Naomi and Aying first reached out on 20 December 2025. During the initial meeting, we explored different invite formats, print techniques, and paper options. While Naomi had several ideas in mind and was initially undecided on the overall direction, she was certain about one aspect: the invitation needed to be a folding card that removed the need for a separate envelope, keeping the design minimal and thoughtful.
The second meeting took place on 3 January 2026. This discussion focused on refining the direction and arriving at a design that felt right for the couple.
The Paper
After reviewing the options, they chose the Heritage 440 specialty paper. The weight and texture supported the folding format and aligned with the simplicity they were looking for.
The Print
The invitation was printed using a single letterpress colour, paired with a subtle emboss on the flap. The print choices were kept restrained, allowing the form and paper to take focus.
For the embossed motif, they were clear about wanting something minimal and not overly detailed. Peonies were selected and translated cleanly into emboss, adding texture without visual complexity.
To the Couple — Naomi & Aying
Working with Naomi and Aying on this invitation was a smooth process. The final piece reflected the discussions and decisions made throughout the project.
Warmest congratulations to Naomi and Aying.
