A Glimpse Into the Craft
Rasa, the bride, designed the artwork for her Save the Date cards herself.
She trusted Famous Letterpress to turn her vision into something she could hold—wedding stationery that felt as special as the love story behind it.
This is how Rasa and Mayank’s Save The Dates were crafted.
The Brief
On 20 November 2025, Rasa reached out to us from Boston, Massachusetts, as she planned her romantic destination wedding in Sintra, Portugal.
She wanted stationery that set the tone for their wedding—something elegant, thoughtful, and beautifully handcrafted.
The Paper
For the paper—we first suggested the WILD 450 cotton paper for its premium feel. But since the design required multiple printing techniques on both the front and back, we recommended a better option: duplexing two sheets of the WILD 300 cotton paper.
This gave the final piece the perfect thickness and a clean, smooth base for all the detailed work that followed.
The Print
For the print—Rasa chose a stunning mix of four letterpress colors paired with rich gold foil stamping.
Because foil stamping uses heat and pressure to apply the foil, printing on both sides of the card needs extra care. To ensure the best quality, we printed the front and back on separate sheets—two letterpress prints with gold foil on the front, and two letterpress prints on the back. We then carefully hand-duplexed both sheets to create a seamless finish on both sides.
